DSSSB PGT (TIER-1) Exam 2014 : Additional List of Shortlisted Candidates for PGT TIER-II ~ TeachMatters

Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) declared Additional List of Shortlisted Candidates for the post of post code 184/14 (Physics), 133/12, 137/12, 142/12, 149/12, PGT Hindi, PGT English, PGT Maths, PGT Engg. Drawing & PGT Physical Education, PGT Pol. Science & PGT Sanskrit for appearing in PGT TIER-II examination dated 28.06.2015.
Previously, DSSSB had drawn PGT TIER-I Exam of different post codes advertised in 2012 & 2014 whose exam was held on 30.11.2014. The Board had taken this decision due to the representations received from some candidates that their candidature had been considered only in respect of PGT post code of 2014 only while they have applied for vacancies of PGT post code of 2012 also.

So DSSSB had given the opportunity to all the candidates who applied fro the PGT post code of 2012 as well as of 2014 in the result of Tier-I examination of PGTs, to submit their representation with all supporting documents, two photos and ID Card etc at DSSSB Reception Centre by 3.00 P.M. on 16.06.2015.

Earlier DSSSB declared list of shortlisted candidates for appearing in PGT TIER-II exam for various posts. DSSSB shortlisted this list on the basis of performance in the written test of Tier-1 exam held on 30.11.2014 for various PGT posts.

Marks List & List of Shortlisted Candidates of PGT TIER-1 Exam 2014 for the post of PGT Maths, PGT Hindi, PGT History, PGT Pol. Science, PGT Economics, PGT English, PGT History, PGT Hindi, Physical Education, PGT Maths, PGT Geography, PGT Engg. Drawing, PGT Economics, PGT Commerce, PGT Chemistry and PGT Biology has been released by DSSSB.

Before this, Result and Marks List of PGT Urdu (Post Codes 155/12, 156/12 & 191/14) PGT Sociology (Post Code 153/12, 154/12), PGT Punjabi (Post Codes 189/14, 190/14), PGT Painting (Post Codes 186/14, 187/14), PGT Music (Post Codes 143/12, 144/12) & PGT Agriculture (Post Codes 122/12, 123/12) has been declared by DSSSB.

DSSSB had issued the (Tier-1) Exam 2014 Notification for various post codes of PGTs. The DSSSB hold (Tier-I) Examination (Multiple Choice Questions) of two hours duration for various post codes of PGT on 30 November 2014 as per new examination scheme. Examination schedule, e-Admit Card and other relevant information is given below. Exam Pattern : Each question will carry one mark. There will be negative marking and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

Note : There is no provision of Re-Evaluation of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts in the examination conducted by the DSSSB.

DSSSB SYLLABUS for PGT TIER-1 Exam 2014

Section-A

(i) General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations /Institutions etc.

(ii) General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability : The syllabus of General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc.

(iii) Arthmetical & Numerical Ability : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs etc. of 10th level.

(iv) & (v) Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English and Hindi Languages, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would also be covered.

SECTION B

(i) Post specific subject related questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the post.

DSSSB Minimum Qualifying Marks for TIER-1 (One Tier) Written Exam

General : 40%
OBC : 35%
SC/ST/PH : 30%
Ex-servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%.

How to Download e-Admit Card :

The e-Admit Card for the above mentioned post codes of PGTs (Tier-I) Exam 2014 (except 141/07, 46/10 & 47/10) are being uploaded on the official website of DSSSB i.e. www.dsssb.delhigovt.nic.in. and eligible candidates may download their e-admit card w.e.f. 12.11.2014 at 10 a.m. till 29.11.2014 upto 11:59 p.m.
The eligible candidates for post codes 141/07, 46/10 & 47/10 may collect their e-admit cards from the Board office w.e.f. 25.11.2014 to ~~27.11.2014~~ 28.11.14.

The Admit card of Tier II Examination will be issued only to Shortlisted candidates. The date for holding the Tier II Examination will be notified separately later on.
