West Bengal State Eligibility Test (SET) 2014

The West Bengal College Service Commission, Kolkata has invited online applications for State Eligibility Test (SET) 2014. The SET is required for appointment to the the posts of Assistant Professors in Universities and Colleges of West Bengal. Eligible candidates can apply online through www.examinationonline.in/wbcscportal on or before 11, October, 2014.

• Opening Date of Online Application                : 18.09.2014
• Last Date of Submission of Application Forms : 11.10.2014
• Last Date of Fee Payment                             : 17.10.2014
• Date of Examination                                     : 14.12.2014

Eligibility Criteria

Educational qualification: 

1. Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) from an Indian University /institution recognized by UGC or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. 
2. Candidates appearing in PG courses can also apply for SET. However they must obtain their PG degree with 55% or 50% marks, whichever is applicable, within two years from the date of holding of the SET.

Application Fees

• General : Rs. 700/-(plus Rs. 40/- as Bank Charge)
• SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH : Rs. 350/- (plus Rs. 40/- as Bank Charge)

The Fee is to be deposited at any Branch of the United Bank of India.
