Notification : Assam SET (State Eligibility Test) Exam 2014
Assam State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) Commission
(N. E. Region) has issued notification for State Eligibility Test (SET)2014 to examine eligibility of candidates
for appointment as Lecturer in various Colleges and Universities.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply on or
before 30 August 2014.
Important Dates
Test fees: The test fee of Rs.400 is to be paid in cash while depositing the application form.
Mode of test: The Test will consist of three papers having objective type questions in two separate sessions – Session I and Session II according to UGC-NET pattern.
A subject‐wise general merit list will be prepared for the candidates who would obtain the prescribed minimum marks separately in Paper I, Paper II and Paper III.
Another merit list subject‐wise and category‐wise will also be prepared. The lists would be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in all the three papers.
Successful candidates will be eligible for appointment in the above States and Meghalaya only.
NOTE: Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing in the Master Degree examination can apply for the test.
How to Apply
Application forms for the Test are available at the designated Centres/ Universities. Candidates can collect and deposit it at the centre where they intend to appear. Candidates willing to appear for the test at the Guwahati Centre should submit the duly-filled in form, in the office of
